About us
Sijou College is an educational institution which has been established in the year 2020 under the initiative of Sijou Foundation (Trust). The Sijou Foundation (Trust) has three units, namely: Sijou Academy (CBSE Curriculum), Sijou College (Junior and Degree sections), and Anjana Construction. The trust is run under the leadership of Mr. Hitesh Basumatary (former Member of Legislative Assembly), a resident of Ambari, Mushalpur, with the main aim of transforming Mushalpur into an educational hub, where knowledge should grow and enhance the students to face the challenging world of today. It is a noble attempt by us to absorb students from every corner of the region irrespective of caste, creed and religion and belief. The college has come up with a motto, “A Journey to Excellence”, and it is our noble duty to make impossible learning possible and that too with perfection, building wings to fly high. The college begins with higher secondary classes (AHSEC), with all the three streams- Science, Commerce and Arts and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) and Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in degree section under Bodoland University. The medium of instruction in the College is English both in Higher Secondary section as well as in Degree section. But we encourage and accept students from any medium during their schooling. The college campus has ideal and silent environment for learning, located at Balapara, little away from the busy town and market place of Mushalpur. The college has well qualified and experienced faculties; all amenities and facilities required for holistic development of the students; well equipped science and computer
laboratories, library and digital classrooms; indoor and outdoor games facilities; separate hostel for boys and girls, and other facilities. Finally, we can proudly confirm saying that Sijou College, Mushalpur is well equipped and we are ready for the academic session 2020-2021 for all the three streams in the junior section- Science, Commerce and Arts and Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts in degree section.
